Look! High Rise Coffee Table

I want one! No, I want two. Where has this been until now?

via Unplugged by soniaz on 3/30/09

033009_sz_coffeetable.jpg> We spend a lot of time working on our laptop in front of the TV. It's the equivalent of what we used to do in junior high -- watch Silver Spoons while doing our math homework. We tend to balance our laptop on a pillow resting on our knees since putting it on our coffee table leads to a sever hunchback. Now if only we have the Seattle Modular Coffee Table. The top of the coffee table is on hinges that allow it not only to open up and reveal precious storage, but it can lift up to become a workspace from your couch. Two more photos after the jump...

This has got to be the best fusions of tech we have seen in recent times. Jon wanted his RX-8 to be “live” and always connected and thus, he hooked his car with a low power PC equipped with 3G, GPS and created a password protected web server link. The result is that he can now connect to the link and use it to turn on/off the car’s ignition, lock/unlock the doors, open the boot and even transmit its exact location. Hit the play button to watch the cool demonstration.

All the good ones are prototypes...

See, it is not that Big American Companies cannot come up with good conceptual cars. It seems that somewhere betweent he drawing board and the assembly line someone is ditching all the good ideas.

it had to happen sooner or later : iDesk

At least this one seems to be able to hide all the wires and cables... On the other hand it is not height adjustable...

Pretty heigh adjustable desk

It's pretty, it's shiny, it's stylish.
And it will be buried under all those wires and cables for all those gadgets you will also want.

Must be the winter... another fireplace post

From these FOCUS people in France.

Did I mention I like fireplaces?

Electric personal Vehicle Concept for 2020 by Sergio Luna

It's electric and single seated for faily errands and such. It's tiny and I could get behind the concept.
Two questions for you:
-How does it not topple backwards?
-How would it fare on 10cm of snow+ice+salt on urban cities like..Montreal?

I also like concept cell phones

... that are sleek, thin, monolithic and, well, at the concept stage.

NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto ; pretty red coffee thing..

.

For those who are going for the design more than quality I presume.
it is pretty and I WOULD fit on my counter, but personally I got me this beauty which makes the bestest coffees.

Please don't write to say it is not proper English. it's called cafeinic poetry.

Desktop fireplace

It is minimalist and it burns, which makes it better than your regular aquarium. On the ther hand... Price: US$749.00 ?
Mmm....nah!

Azrhey's obsession with bathrooms...more bath tubs

It's pretty and I want one, even if some people complain about floating bits.

Plywood Bike...because they can.

Some part of me wants to snicker at a plywood bike. But still.

Concept wheel chair

Why no foot-rest?

If you know some one who is using a wheelchair for survival then this product is for them. This wheelchair is made of an elastic as well as strong plastic, for example Polyurethane. The vehicle becomes adapted to contact face and the center of gravity to the situation. Through vertical pressure on the handle bar the round wheel converts to ellipsoid. As a result of which steps and barriers can be taken care of easily. It is a great invention of the wheelchair. This transformable wheel will surely abolish lots of barriers and assist disabled people to carry on their life easily.

A fire place & an humidifier wrapped in pretty!

I could use one and it would fit in my place. YaY! Bummer it is only still a concept.

The iPhone blog

OMG! Want! their are gloved made to work with iPhones and iPods and anythign that requires your fingers outside during winter....

hamper-washer-dryer

I want one. Yesterday.
More pictures at the site.

It’s a hamper/washer/dryer. After you fill it up, an automatic wash and dry cycle initiates. It’s even Wi-Fi enabled to help you monitor it remotely. Once it’s finished, it’ll alert you via email or text message to your phone. Guopeng Liang doesn’t say what method of washing it uses, tho there are spillways for water so that must mean you have to be near a hose, a sink - some sort of outlet. It also doesn’t solve the problem or sorting

Fold away jacuzzi...because they can!

See, that I can get behind, even if I didn't need the swivel part it is still pretty to have in the bathroom...

Fireplace I want!

Ethanol based, stand alone, fireplace... that would like very nice in my living room.

STAB! STAB! STAB!... veggies too!

I know it is only a concept and such but it sounds high-tech, pretty AND I don't get to say STAB!STAB!STAB! very often in here.

Functional...yeah that is it, functional!
